From Baby Boomer to Baby Zoomer

My label is changing.

BabyBoomer to BabyZoomer.

I'm hitting warp speed when it comes to technology.

And I love it.

I even get to revisit the days of my childhood whilst on this exciting journey to keep up with techno change.

Oh for the days of sprawling in front of the radio and listening intently to the Caltex Playhouse.

I hung on every line as my 10 year old mind worked overtime to keep up with the well crafted storyline.

Storytelling was an art form in those days.

Yesterday I learned radio is making a comeback of sorts.

In the form of "Podcasting" - which takes its name from iPod and Broadcasting. Subscribers sign up for one month or one year for quality interviews delivered to your computer in the form of an mp3 Radio Show.

It will captivate many babyboomers with fond memories of radio broadcasts from yesteryears.

Forget the huge start up costs for radio station owners.

Even the Internet start up business operators can launch their own Podcasting network for less than $500 - maybe even less.

I applaud the efforts of the pioneers in the field of Pocasting - Paul Colligan, Mike Stewart and Alex Mandossian.

They will surely be the next bing thing on the Internet.

They will certainly attract many subscriptions from babyboomers keen to access broadcasts of the quality we grew up to expect in the 50's and 60's.
